The Hawaii State Department of Education sources relevant candidates faster with NEOED Attract

I'm James Orbaniac and I'm a human resources officer with the Hawaii State Department of Education. We service over 260 public schools in our island state, servicing about 300,000 students across the islands in Hawaii. Our biggest challenge that we've had with sourcing candidates and trying to build those relationship with candidates really came down to staffing. Our resources are limited and our staffing is also limited. I have two favorite things about Attract. One is the Virtual Recruiter who I call my overnight friend who does all the work for me overnight and the second thing is our candidate sourcing in Attract where I'm able to simply find a candidate that meets certain criteria and quickly send it to a hiring manager for review. I would spend almost a day of my own time going through files of Google Sheets where we've met candidates at events and then trying to figure out, "wait, where where do we meet this one teacher at? where do we have their data?" Versus now I can just simply log into Attract, you know, pull up a report, pull up the candidates's name and it's all saved within the the, you know, the CRM and I'm able to, you know, find where we've met them, what what type of education experience they have, do they have the minimum qualities that we need. We've almost like added an additional two colleagues that work with us by using our vVrtual Recruiter system in Attract along with the ability to kind of source and find candidates through the system. So now with NEOED and using Attract you know we're able to find candidates who may not have gotten that dream job at a school in a town that they may have wanted to worked at but maybe the town over because we are a statewide public school system. So we're able to simply just utilize the various features in NEOED and in Attract to find candidates similar types of positions whereas that manual process could have taken us weeks to accomplish. We can easily do that within within the day. The system is always working overnight. It's able to see where candidates are applying, different jobs that they've applied to, and then the system's able to kind of send them a targeted email inviting them to apply for those jobs. One of the neat features I think that I use Attract for that has made us my life significantly better in terms of being able to provide that support to our hiring managers out in the field is the ability to utilize that data that we capture through the reports and then you know if I get a call that says "hey James you know I'm looking for a special education teacher who has this type of experience" I can go through into Attract and kind of search for those candidates by using the keywords. I can also search for candidates who may have applied for a special education position but weren't offered the job and reach out to them directly. You know through the system that process is so seamless and so easy to do that that has really transformed how I'm able to help my hiring managers in the field to be able to say "hey you know I can find someone who meets these criteria for you and I'll be able to send you that information." I I really love how you're able to kind of share a link with the with the users, the hiring managers to be able to say, "Hey, here's all their information, their resume," you know, just that cumbersome process of attaching the resumes, attach attaching all their documents, you know, I don't have to do that anymore. I can just simply share from directly from Attract. And at the end of the day, it makes me look like I'm doing a great job, too. And so, I have to admit, Attract has really helped me in being able to do my job more effectively. Yeah, I love it.
